Comment on Pennsylvania Hospital - Philadelphia, PA written by: Jessic A. 04/12/2010 10:36AM Someone told me this is the nations first hospital, but it appears that both Bellevue and New York Hospital have prior claims to being the oldest and still-functioning hospitals in the U.S.; older, but now non-existent, hospitals were, of course, established in the 17th century. Can't say much about the service; however, this place does have some really nice victorian architecture..
